It is hard to believe that one year ago today at 3:40 p.m. our son was born. My how time flies! This past year has been great with so many new and fun experiences as we have learned and grown as new parents. What a joy. We definitely could not have done it without the love and support of our family and friends and we are thankful for all of you and so proud to have had the opportunity to share the first year of Riley's life with so many.
We had quite a busy birthday weekend. Saturday we had a birthday party at the house with a lot of the people we couldn't have survived this first year without and we all had a blast!
Riley wasn't quite sure what to think about the cake but after he had a taste he was hooked.
This morning we were up early and headed to Disney for a character breakfast at the Polynesian thanks to his Aunt Jessica (who also had a birthday today and is a Disney Cast Member) where Riley got to have a great breakfast and meet Lilo, Stitch, Pluto, and Mickey.

After breakfast Jessica walked us over to the Magic Kingdom for Riley's first visit where he got to go on some rides and meet even more characters.
As with most busy days, especially a first birthday, Riley was absolutely wiped out.
What a great day! Thanks Jessica for such a great day at the parks and making Riley's first birthday and first visit to Disney such a fun experience.
Finally, thank you again to everyone for all you have done for us not just this weekend but over the past year. We are truly blessed to have such great family and friends and such a gift in Riley.

I can't believe it's been a year. I'm so happy for you guys and glad that I finally got to meet him. He's very lucky to have such great parents! :)
